ANOTHER CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY...

....And here we are in the week between Christmas and New Years...and finally the weather outside is quite frightful!

But the Yule Log show is so delightful.

This was my fifty-first Christmas. And again this year I attended family church essentially because I value the happiness of my mother.

Now it's time to prepare for the New Year!

ENJOYING CHRISTMAS!

Actually it's only Dec. 12!

But I'm really getting into it this year.

And seeing the movie Chi-Raq helped get me in the spirit.

LOL!

DEPRESSION

Chicagoland experienced the first major snowfall last weekend and the days are shorter.

So....depression is setting in!

I have my light box and I am determined to keep busy.

BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Nothing amiss with that!

ANGER

I have a marked tendency towards anger.

Especially when an adult makes what I'm sure is meant to be a "cute comment." I have a tendency to overreact due to my childhood background.

I was teased, ridiculed, rejected by my peers from approximately age eight until seventeen.

I can remember incidents of ridicule directed at me when I was sixteen. I can remember because the summer of 1982 I went on a Europe school group trip and I remember most of the experience.

Not sure if that occurred during my subsequent senior year of high school. Rejection certainly. Active ridicule I'm not sure. And I don't know if it's worth "going back into the brain" to try and remember.

MY BIRTHDAY HAS COME AND GONE...

...So could someone please let me know HOW THE HELL I GOT TO BE FIFTY YEARS OLD!?

Big anniversary of big chaos.

So it goes...as said Kurt Vonnegut.

Late summer.

But I don't have to worry about that lousy back to school stuff!

Again..I am trying to keep depression at bay!

Summer is no guarantee apparently.

I may need to go on meds again.

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER!

It's summer!

Growing tomatoes and trying to love life!

2015 is nearly half over!

Where does the time go?

I will be happy happy happy.

I will do what I can to prevent depression.

I did volunteer work yesterday at Schaumburg IL "Feed My Starving Children." Forty-five minutes of hand-packing meals to be shipped to children in Haiti. The facility is totally donation funded. There are no machines in the food packing area. Volunteers (last night I was one of them!) complete the packing work!

PRESIDENT OBAMA KEEPS MENTIONING "AYN RAND"

Objectivists seem to believe this is a laughable situation.

Not if this gets people THINKING!

For example I had always believed without THOUGHT that the a proper function of government was to fund and provide education facilities to age eighteen.

Now...well I'm not sure re this issue. I can see both sides of the coin here. I attended public schools and now as a childfree adult I am legally obligated to assist in the funding.

However I KNEW when I opted out of parenthood that I would not be exempt from this legal requirement. And...when I was a child I'm sure that my education was funded in part by the taxes of several childfree adults.

Besides does anyone really want the crazy young'uns to be running wild out on the streets?

NOT!

But....at any rate I have THOUGHT about this issue.

This is GOOD!

My Two Commandments

We all know "The Lord Thy God's Ten Commandments!" Of course a few of them currently make zero sense but that's rather beside the point. :)

Here are the Two Commandments of Jesus of Nazareth:

1) Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all thy heart and soul.

2) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

And....drum roll please...here are the Two Commandments of Louise Mcbride:

1) Thou shalt not be a pain in the neck.

2) Thou shalt not behave in a manner of a horse's rear end.

AND THAT'S THE TRUTH! :)

IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS....

....are people's motives of much importance?

DISCUSS, PLEASE!

IS VARIETY THE SPICE OF LIFE?

I find that I am happier after I consent to a break in my routine or when I decide to do things differently.
